FISHING
Another year of Walleye fishing at Canyon Ferry Contestants came from across the USA to compete in the Walleye tournament held this last weekend. Because we continue to fight for a diversified fishery here in Montana we can proudly say we are helping enhance our fishing heritage here in Montana. Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks, is constantly changing the rules to fish here in Montana. Many times we loose one fish at the expense of another. Extreme measures by FWP in the management of our fisheries continues to inhibit diversified fisheries. Regulation changes affect the ability of the average Montanan the opportunity to enjoy a day fishing.
Fishing is part of our Montana heritage. Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks is the agency that is charged by law to perpetuate diverse fisheries for the use and enjoyment of the people. Montana Multiple Use Association is working to insure that fishing will remain part of our heritage for generations to come. We are active in Fisheries management planning to insure that each and every person that wants to catch a fish for dinner, can do so. |
